Ultrasound is a wonderful technology that can diagnose a myriad of diseases in a safe, pain free way.  We use fear-free methods to ease your pet's anxiety.  They lie quietly on a padded surface.  Hair is clipped to allow for good image quality.  The ultrasound probe is not uncomfortable.   If he/she is overly anxious, we may discuss sedation to make sure your pet is relaxed and that a thorough exam is completed.
