COVID -19 Protocol

For everyone's safety, during the outbreak, we will be temporarily instituting this protocol:

-Minimal personnel in the room during the ultrasound.  No owners can be present during the scan at this time.

-If safe for the patient, sedation is highly recommended to increase patient comfort and to limit the number of people needed to restrain.

-Use of a low traffic room for the ultrasound is requested.

-Please avoid scheduling routine scans in well animals (i.e. incidental heart murmurs, mild ALP increases with no symptoms, senior wellness scans; ie. anything that can wait without potential adverse effects).

-Please have the room sanitized before arrival.  All equipment will be sanitized and gloves worn.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping ensure everyone’s safety. We wish everyone well during these challenging times.

What Sets Us Apart

An Expert View

The owner, Dr. Jarrett, has 20 years of experience as a small animal veterinary clinician in Northern Virginia.  During that time she took many ultrasound courses and utilized ultrasound extensively.  She underwent private training with Dr. Eric Lindquist at Sonopath and recently became SDEP (Sonographic Diagnostic Efficiency Protocol) certified in abdominal ultrasound.

With Potomac Mobile Veterinary Ultrasound, you'll get a preliminary assessment on the spot by Dr Jarrett as well as a written report by a specialist by the next day.

Fast, Efficient Service

Our service area is small, so we can provide quick service; often even the same day.  Arrival windows are short, at most within two hours.

Specialist Review on Every Case

In addition to Dr. Jarrett's assessment, you will get an overread from a boarded specialist at Sonopath included in the price.  Your patients are important and getting the right answer is crucial for your business.  We do this to make sure you are getting the most thorough and complete assessment possible on every case.
